What is mid-coat paint? Mid-coat is also called a "mist coat". The application of a transparent or semi-transparent paint over a pearl or metallic allowing the shine or flash of the underlying color to show through. Example: use of a mid-coat helps produce pearl, chameleon and candy paints showing off a metallic or glitter like appearance.

For the best performance and durability:

Standard Paints: Generally 10% reducer + 5% Poly for optimal performance and durability.

Primers:Generally 10% Thinner to paint. Paint may appear more viscous in the cup then standard paint. Test spray if necessary add only a drop or 2 at a time.
