I am very happy with this product, although when spayed via an airbrush the colour is lighter than the paint chip indicates. Keep in mind this is Dunkelgelb Initial, AK Gen3 does carry a darker variant of the Dunkelgelb. As with all AK Gen3 paints, I have thinned the paint with their own thinner and spray at 20-22psi.
In my experience working with the paint you can thin the paint to the consistency greater than the recommended 3:1 almost 3:2 and the paint still covers well and dries in a even layer.
If you find the Dunkelgelb Initial to light, I recommend darkening the tone through washes and filters.
1. Paint brush on great - much better than Tamiya
2. Great color selection, most AFV colors available and look fairly accurate
3. Bit finicky through the airbrush. Not as easy as Tamiya - eventually, after experimentation, I got there (50/50 thinner/paint, their thinner, drop of floquil, 15-18 psi)
Bottom line: best, really the only acceptable option I've found to use same paint in airbrush and paintbrush, with a wide enough color selection to mostly avoid custom mixes. Competitors usually hit on only 2, often only 1, of these points.
