Common Earth Dark is your go to ground cover for creating realistic soil and earth textures on terrain pieces, wargaming tables, dioramas, miniature bases, miniature landscaping. Made from a natural mix of soils and sands, this dark earth blend gives you a high-coverage base layer that instantly adds depth and realism to any build from forest floors and muddy paths to farmland, trenches, and ruined landscapes.

Available in both light and dark, Common Earth is designed to be the foundation for your terrain. Once applied, it creates an ideal surface for building up vegetation using additional scatters, grass, or turfs. Like all Krautcover Groundcovers, it pairs perfectly with our Basecovers and can be layered and combined to create complex ground textures quickly.

Because Common Earth has a very fine texture, it’s also a great choice for smaller scales and detailed base design. For even more versatility, mix it with our Kraut Paste paste medium to create fast, easy texture pastes for raised ground, rough soil, or built-up earthworks.
