Common Earth is part of our Groundcover range, made from natural soils and sands for realistic terrain construction, along with a wide selection of grits and scatters. It’s designed for all types of earthwork on your terrain pieces and game tables, miniature landscaping & dioramas and is available in both light and dark tones to match the look you want.

This groundcover creates a high-coverage base layer that’s perfect for building up further vegetation. Once applied, you can easily add more detail using additional scatters, grass, or turfs to create rich, natural landscapes. Like all of our Groundcovers, Common Earth works extremely well with our Basecovers and can be combined with other materials to quickly create complex ground textures.

Because Common Earth has a very fine texture, it’s also an excellent choice for smaller scales and detailed miniature base design. For even more versatility, it can be mixed with our Kraut Paste paste medium to create fast, easy texture pastes.

Suggested uses:

• Base layer for soil and earth textures on wargaming terrain and game tables
• Creating paths, fields, forest floors, trenches, and earthworks
• Miniature bases for armies, skirmish models, and display pieces
• Foundation layer before adding grass, turf, foliage, or scatter vegetation
• Blending terrain transitions and smoothing seams between materials
• Mixing with Kraut Paste to create custom earth texture paste for raised ground
