I’m not even using this for the intended application. I originally bought it to help seal some pieces, but it wasn’t waterproof and that made me nervous… onward:

I’m using UVLS as a ‘middle primer’ — it’s letting me paint with watercolours on an oil based surface. Because the surface BELOW the oil was metal, and the metal primer I had was only compatible with my oil-metal paint. But I wanted to use water colour.

Anyways, UVLS supported my absurd artist behaviour and it’s now part of my weekly use toolkit. This was not something I anticipated, entirely the result of futz around, find out.

My only problem with it is it doesn’t brush on smooth? I’m going to see if heating it up more helps. Having my partner shake it for 5 minutes wasn’t enough to get it to apply smooth.

You might try adding a touch of reducer (4011) to the UVLS to help it self level better for you with a paint brush.
