Illustration Colors are Createx Colors flagship airbrush paints designed for refined atomization and flow through the smallest of airbrush tip sizes, at low psi settings.

Initially designed for the illustrator and fine artist Illustration has proven to be very popular with automotive; mural and a wide range of other airbrush artists due to it's ease of use, spray-ability and light-fast automotive grade pigments.

  • Delayed curing making colors erase easily and after 48 hours cure to a hard coating. Illustration Colors may be sprayed direct from the bottle or thinned with 4011 or 4013. Mixing 4030 Balancing Clear or 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear with Illustration Colors for an excellent automotive transparent color. When mixed with 4030 Balancing Clear, Illustration Colors do not soft erase.

Very tasty, goes well with ice cream

Of course, I am joking. Createx Illustration colors are my go to color for most of my work in realism. They are minimal fuss, and mostly can be used right out of the bottle in my custom micron. I do over reduce them with 4013 often tho for working at very low pressures and close to a surface, and they still hold up well.

Also, the delayed cross linking allows erasing and sgraffo techniques impossible with other paints without messing around with a mountain of additives and retarders. Ain't nobody got time for that. So I like that they do what I want right out of the bottle.

They probably do go well with ice cream, but I wouldn't recommend it.

excellent..beautiful color..no problems with clogging or spattering....
